The Trust has a $300 Tangihanga Grant available to assist with Tangihanga costs for deceased Owners. Life interest beneficiaries are not eligible for a Tangihanga Grant.
Applications must be within 12 weeks of the date of death.
Applicants must provide a copy of the death certificate and proof of ownership (from Maori Land Online or a copy of Court Order).
Applicants must declare on the application form if they have been nominated to represent the deceased.
No overseas applications will be accepted. The deceased Owner and applicant must reside in New Zealand.
