The Trust offers a Kaumatua Grant for up to $300 to eligible Owners to help provide support with age-related medical costs.
Applicants must be an OWNER or beneficiary in the Pahautea Lands Blocks. Life interest beneficiaries are not eligible to apply.
Applicants must provide proof of ownership (from Maori Land Online or a copy of Court Order).
Applicants must be aged 65 years and older, and must reside in New Zealand.
Applicants must supply proof of date of birth (e.g copy of birth certificate, passport, driver or firearms licence).
Applicants must provide details of the health support requested, and provide a quote or invoice or tax receipt from the health care provider. Applications must be made within 12 weeks of the health service provided.
Approved grants will be paid to the health service provider.
The Kaumatua Grant can only be applied for once a year.
